CleoKitten™ - NoMess Litter Mat

Ordered 2 initially, now 2 more. Was freaked out at first because when I opened the plastic I got a quick whiff of that all-too-familiar ammonia smell...BUT it only lasted a second upon opening. I was about to put it back in and send it right back, but it IMMEDIATELY stopped smelling like that AT ALL.

Having read previous reviews, I immediately put them holes down on the rug & put 2 full 40lb boxes of litter on top for 24 hours to flatten them straight. They've been in use for a couple weeks now & I'm pretty shocked at how clean it keeps everything. No matter what kind of mats I used before, there was still a mess and something always went wrong (like it made them want to pee on it, litter would get stuck, hard to clean, etc).

This is genius! Not TOO soft where it won't work, but just about an exercise mat firmness (poss 1 step firmer?)...NOT "hard" as some have stated. All my cats at the moment are male, but they are the diva-est of all cats and if there were a problem they would indeed let me know, and have not. It is just the perfect firmness where it wouldn't hurt their feet (or bother them at all), but just right to jar the litter off, which disappears into the holes.

All you do is once in a while lift it up with the handles (both sides are open where the handles are) and dump the litter back into the box. I got the biggest one, because we have a couple "jumpers." Don't forget, only put the edge under the litterbox so you have the mat covering the biggest amount of space the cats step on (not wasting a lot of unused mat under the box).

This is more than I've ever spent on litter mats (and got FOUR now) but never underestimate the value & happiness of being able to walk around without that litter grit on the floor. It is happiness!

After trying 4 other "litter-trapping" mats, this was BY FAR the best. My boyfriend turned one of our hallway closets into our cat's little ensuite (he's very proud), but the litter would always scatter out of the cat door somehow and would leave a mess. I was vacuuming it up every day, no exaggeration!

I'm so happy I found this mat because I haven't noticed a single piece of litter outside the cat door since using it. It somehow catches everything! Emptying the caught litter back into the box is easy and I do this once every 1 or 2 weeks now. I like the aesthetic of it and it fits right in with my black, white, and grey thing I've got going on.

I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to walk around their house without litter sticking to their socks!

Using crystal litter has pros and cons. One of cons : When I step on it, it harts. Having this small litter spread throughout the entire house is highly unpleasant to me. Interestingly, I notice that I do not find any crystal litter on my staircase, which is definitely a positive aspect. My cat seems like he doesn’t care about the mat. Money well spent ! Highly recommended.

After looking at many comments I decided to purchase it, I was worried about the crease everyone was commenting about, but wasn’t so bad once I open the box. All I did was flip it upside down and lay on it for a few minutes and it was pretty flat. I can say it’s been pretty helpful when my kitties throw litter outside or tracking litter out.

I have been very pleased with this product! We have used other kinds of mats outside of the litterbox, but none have worked as well as this one to trap litter from our cat's paws. It has made a significant difference in how much litter is tracked outside of his litterbox area. The best part is that you can pour the litter back into the litterbox rather than it just accumulating in the mat itself!
